Where you’ll work:

Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person. 

You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

You’ll be working within Operational Enablement’s Benefits team, within OVO Retail.  You will be at the heart of enabling the transformation to a digital at scale, customer centric business with intelligent operations powered by unified, modern technology. You’ll champion customer excellence and be empowered to make a difference on a global scale through enabling our Plan Zero objectives.

This role in a nutshell:

We are looking for an experienced and creative Change Manager to lead a team responsible for quantifying operational change, working with key stakeholders to engage in delivery of Key strategic goals. You will have extensive experience of analyzing and quantifying project impacts and benefits, working with and coaching stakeholders to establish key metrics and clear change profiles to confidently articulate headcount, budget impacts and performance of change in operational plans. You’ll back this up with excellent stakeholder management and a genuine talent and a passion for problem solving. You will have strong analytical skills and have the capacity to analyse data and metrics to evaluate the impact on budgets to make informed decisions. In the team there is a strong focus on delivering measurable results and continuously monitoring and evaluating benefit realisation against predefined goals and targets

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Taking complete ownership of your workstack, delivering at speed but never compromising on quality
  • Managing benefit realisation process and governance requirements
  • Managing and building trusting relationships with stakeholders from entry-level to C-level
  • Supported delivery of headcount/budget goals across one or more of our business units (One Care, Complaints, Energy Operations, Customer Balances, Field Services)
  • Continuous improvement to benefits realisation process
  • Bringing highly creative and new ideas forward

Within your first 6 months month you’ll:

  • Analysis and quantify multiple complex benefit profiles
  • Leading in the benefit realisation process with strong governance
  • Drive working practices and outcomes
  • Manage priority decisions to key stakeholder 
  • Presented up to Director/VP level
  • Attended Big Room Planning Events

You’ll be a successful Operational Benefits Manager at OVO if you…

  • Experience of leading change functions and being responsible for delivery of key strategic goals and outcomes.
  • Experience and proven track record in change management and project management cycles
  • Experience in PMO
  • Experience of owning governance and controls framework in a change environment
  • The ability to manage multiple complex project outputs, selecting the most appropriate information to define and quantify benefit impacts
  • Possess strong analytical skills and have the capacity to analyse data and metrics to evaluate the impact on projects, whether negative or positive, to make informed decisions.  
  • Delivering measurable results and continuously monitoring and evaluating benefit realisation against predefined goals and targets.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with extensive experience in influencing key project decisions with sponsors and stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills, specifically enabling stakeholders to align quickly around project objectives
  • The ability to simplify complexity / readily identify opportunities and translate this into strategic decisions and recommendations
  • Experience of and aptitude for working within a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • A desire to champion and demonstrate continuous improvement of team processes and outputs
  • The ability to meaningfully and appropriately challenge, but commit wholly once a decision is made
  • The ability to time-manage, prioritise workload and delegate where necessary.
  • The tenacity to go that extra mile for your customer(s)
  • A curious mindset - open to new possibilities and a desire to actively explore them 
  • A growth mindset with a passion for learning and continued development
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching to develop colleagues

We’ll pay you between £50,000 and £60.000, depending on your specific skills and experience.

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
