Here’s how:&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;This role sits in a fast paced and autonomous corporate venture called OVO Solar &amp;amp; Heating, whose remit is to re-establish and grow OVO’s renewables business. The business was launched in March 2025 on a highly innovative Franchising business model, and within 4 months outpaced OVO’s best ever monthly solar sales. By the end of 2026, the unit is expected to be one of the largest solar &amp;amp; heat pump installation companies in the UK with ambitions to be both the biggest, and the best.&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;This role in a nutshell:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;The role is akin to a Chief Of Staff role, and reports directly into the CEO of the business unit. It will engage very closely with all the internal unit functions - operations, sales, marketing, tech, business operations - as well as many of the main OVO Energy functions from marketing to finance.&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What you&#39;d expect to gain from the role:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;ul&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Significant contribution to the business unit strategy&lt;/strong&gt;, with access to OVO Energy’s wider strategy&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Real ownership across every function in the business&lt;/strong&gt;. You&#39;ll have launched things, not watched them being launched&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Commercial and business skills and experience&lt;/strong&gt; with exposure to all major business functions, as well as a deep understanding of the Franchising commercial model&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Deep understanding of the solar and heat pump market&lt;/strong&gt; in the UK&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Leadership &amp;amp; Management mentorship&lt;/strong&gt; from the CEO&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A CV moment to be proud of&lt;/strong&gt; and to leverage: building one of the UK’s most innovative and largest Solar &amp;amp; Heat Pump players&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;/ul&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What you&#39;ll be expected to do:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Running the business:&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;ul&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Coordination: &lt;/strong&gt;Work with stakeholders across the internal team and wider OVO to ensure we are executing to plan. Build strong relationships&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Business Unit Strategy&lt;/strong&gt;: 5 year plan, 2 year plan, budget - develop and iterate strategic documents and artefacts (including CLT and Board materials)&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key reporting:&lt;/strong&gt; Proactively prepare and present materials for board meetings &amp;amp; internal forums, with a focus on effective and compelling communication&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Analytics&lt;/strong&gt;: Be the master of our data and how we can leverage insights to improve our business, including customer analytics and creating dashboards&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Own the business rhythm&lt;/strong&gt; and coordination that comes with it: key forums, all-hands, offsites; make sure what we said we&#39;d do is actually happening&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;/ul&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Building new things:&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;\n&lt;ul&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Take concepts from idea to operation&lt;/strong&gt;, e.g. subscription products, new vertices like commercial works, and whatever we haven&#39;t thought of yet&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Iterate the business model&lt;/strong&gt;, including how the franchise proposition itself evolves as we become a more established business&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Build new propositions with OVO Energy&lt;/strong&gt;, pairing installations with tariffs to make the product more attractive to customers&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Run initiatives independently, with the Revenue and Operation&lt;/strong&gt;s teams, and directly with franchisees&lt;/li&gt;\n&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ask and answer questions like should we… &lt;/strong&gt;play in the funded space?; sell plug-in-solar panels?; sell insurance products?; raise our fees?; enter the Irish market?
