Founded in 2009, OVO Energy is OVO’s flagship brand offering its pay-monthly customers an unparalleled suite of digital energy services, solutions, and technologies. OVO’s new subscription service OVO Beyond uses smart meter data and energy technology to allow people to start a journey to make their home net zero carbon.
Kaluza is OVO Group’s intelligent energy platform, able to connect and control millions of smart devices across people’s homes, such as electric vehicles, heaters and batteries. Working with a range of industry-leading hardware manufacturers, energy suppliers and grid operators, Kaluza is driving the global transition to a distributed and secure zero-carbon grid.
Boost launched in 2017 as a dedicated prepayment energy brand. It revolutionised smart prepayment in the UK to allow people to swap inconvenient key card top-ups for the freedom to top up anytime, anywhere – with an app. Its innovative Winter Wallet feature lets you pay into a savings pot to make sure you have money saved for cold winter days.
Founded in 2011 and acquired by OVO in April 2017, CORGI HomePlan is the UK’s third-largest home services provider, delivering exceptional service at fair prices. Adding CORGI HomePlan to the OVO portfolio expanded our in-home tech capabilities – from smart meter installation to boiler maintenance and installation, thermostats, and more.
Kantan is a technology platform aimed at revolutionising the way that tradespeople book, and fulfill jobs – giving them the time-saving tools they need to excel in a competitive market place. Started by OVO Group in 2018, Kantan is working with key industry partners to revolutionise the £45bn home services industry.
SSE Energy Services supplies energy and related services to domestic customers across Great Britain. As well as electricity and gas, the business provides telephone, broadband, metering, boiler installation and maintenance services. It provides excellent customer service, as repeatedly recognised by the independent Citizens Advice energy supplier performance league table.
OVO Group has ambitious plans to bring our energy know-how, service and tech to countries across the globe. We’ve recently said “bonjour” to France, “hola” to Spain and we’ve got plans to expand even further across Europe. We’ve even said “g’day” to Australia.
